Points saillants
The General Avalanche Hazard is CONSIDERABLE at the Mid and Upper elevations. Strong Southwest winds moving a foot of light density snow from the past two days and forecasted heavy snowfall will continue to build easily triggered slabs one to three feet in depth on lee slopes. With very strong winds, slabs will rest near ridgecrest and under cliff bands but often deeper accumulations and larger slides develop in bowls and cross loaded gullies some distance below the higher areas. Use good route finding skills today and avoid open slopes. The Hazard at Low elevations is LOW today where the snowpack is thin and less snow has fallen.
