Forecast Snow Stability: Localised windslab will be present above 900 metres on South-East to South-Westerly aspects, Coire rims and gully tops most affected. Elsewhere the moist snowpack will refreeze and will be firm and stable throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate
Forecast Weather Influences: Freezing level falling from 1000m during the evening then to 800m overnight, then at 5-600m during the day. Snow showers dying out overnight clearing by morning, a mostly dry day is expected. Winds generally moderate to light North-Westerly overnight becoming light and variable during the day. Observed Weather Influences: A day of very poor visibility above 800m. Precipitation falling as rain to summit levels at first then turning to snow as the freezing level dropped to 1000m or so.then lower later . Winds light to moderate Northerly becoming very strong in the afternoon . ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally moist and stable at all elevations. New windslab is building on mostly Southerly to Westerly aspects above 900m, especially in wind sheltered localised places above 900m with coire rims and gully tops most affected. The avalanche hazard is Moderate
