Points saillants
The 5 AM temperatures at mid and upper elevations were near or above freezing as warm air moved in aloft overnight in a southerly flow. Melt-freeze crust will quickly soften as temperatures warm and increase the potential for wet slides. At the lower elevations most sunlit slopes are bare or have a shallow snowpack. Wet slides are possible on very steep shaded aspects as the day warms.
