There are still many big heavy cornices out there baking in the sun. It is especially important to give these features a wide berth as we transition into the spring.

The winter snowpack will continue to produce loose wet slides well into the spring. This avalanche activity is triggered by warm temps and intense sun typically found in the afternoon. Be cautious of big slopes that haven't shed their winter snow.
