Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will start to firm up with the return of colder conditions by morning. Snow stability will generally be good on all but the very steepest slopes particularly those affected by solar radiation, in these areas surface instabilities may exist with some fragile cornices also possible. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be mainly dry with only isolated showers of snow expected. Winds will be fresh generally Easterly through the day when the freezing level will be around 850 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Overnight rain, sleet and snow on the highest tops affected the area, today has become mainly dry with the odd spell of sunshine. Winds have been fresh generally Southerly. The freezing level hovered around the highest summits. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is gradually thawing at all levels, it is generally moist and stable on all but the very steepest slopes where isolated surface instabilities remain a possibility, cornices are fragile. Greatest accumulations of snow are to be found in the higher Northerly and Easterly corries above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
