No major changes in weather for the last week leave us at low danger for today making human triggered or natural avalanches unlikely but not impossible. With an extended period of unreactive conditions it is is easy to get complacent with backcountry procedures, however it's important to still practice good travel habits, having the appropriate gear, exposing only one skier/rider/sledder at a time, watching for terrain traps, andknowing your exposure.

The clear and cold weather we've had for the past two weeks is beginning to break down but no snowfall is expected for today. Ridgetop Easterly winds look to be elevated on the mainland today but should be more moderate on Douglas. There is a limited amount of snow left available for transport so should not see many new wind slabs forming. One thing to keep an look out for is older wind slabs, generally they have been unreactive as of late but it's possible to still find a touchy one out there. Winds, cold temps, and possibly overcast skies should limit solar warming on south facing slopes today making any wet loose avalanches less likely today.
