In some regions 5 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall until the afternoon above approximately 2000 m. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised in particular in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls.

The surface of the snowpack is frozen, but not to a significant depth and will soften later than the day before. Below approximately 2000 m hardly any snow is lying.

As a consequence of falling temperatures, the activity of moist and wet avalanches will gradually decrease.
