Points saillants

Strong varying winds and snowfall over the last several days have created soft slabs up to two feet in depth at mid and upper elevations. These slabs lie upon hard crusts and faceted snow and could be triggered by backcountry users today, particularly on steep wind loaded avalanche paths and near cliff areas. At low elevations isolated pockets of slab to a foot in depth could be triggered on steep wind loaded slopes such as gullies and road cuts.
