West-northwest winds last night and one to two feet of new snow since Sunday have created dangerous avalanche conditions. New wind slabs lie upon slick old snow surfaces and weak layers of faceted snow. Dangerous slab avalanches could be human triggered with severe consequences on steep avalanche prone slopes.
