Points saillants

At the mid and upper elevations, the general avalanche hazard is LOW this morning and will quickly rise to MODERATE as new snow accumulates. Easily triggered soft slabs and loose snow sluffs, which lie upon excellent sliding surfaces, could be triggered by backcountry travelers in steep, wind-loaded starting zones. These avalanches will gain volume and depth as the day progresses, and natural activity may become possible by this afternoon. Mostly stable snow exists at the lower elevations and avalanches are unlikely.
