Forecast Snow Stability: The wet and patchy snow cover will begin to refreeze overnight, becoming firm throughout, very firm at the higher summit level as the day progresses. There will be little evidence remaining of the recent dusting of snow. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Persistent rain at all levels will peter out overnight leaving a mostly dry and cloudy day with the odd snow shower possible in the morning. Westerly gales will gradually moderate through the period, veering North overnight and the freezing level will lower to settle at around 700 metres during the morning. Observed Weather Influences: A cloudy day with rain arriving mid to late morning on a strengthening Westerly wind. The freezing level was around 800 metres mid morning and rising. ObservedSnowStability: There is a light dusting of refrozen recent snow on all aspects mostly above 700 metres. The patchy old snow is firm and well bonded throughout, largely remaining on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
