Problèmes avalancheux

  • Wind Slabs

    • Alpin
    • Limite forestière
    • Sous la limite forestière
    Probabilité
    Possible
    Taille
    1–2
Last week's snow was distributed by mostly moderate to strong winds into windslabs and cornices on North through Southeast aspects. Recent avalanches have started from rock bluffs or cornice failures and have triggered deeper weak layers.
  • Persistent Slabs

    • Alpin
    • Limite forestière
    • Sous la limite forestière
    Probabilité
    Possible
    Taille
    2–4
The buried surface hoar layer remains a concern in areas that have not recently avalanched. Solar effect will weaken the bridging strength of the slab on exposed slopes.
  • Loose Wet

    • Alpin
    • Limite forestière
    • Sous la limite forestière
    Probabilité
    Possible - Likely
    Taille
    1–2
Expect to see small avalanches on steep solar slopes at lower elevations by noon. Ice climbers should consider these small avalanches if climbing on south through west facing climbs.
