Avalanche Activity

Only isolated danger zones

Avalanche danger is low. Triggering a small slab (most likely above 2000m on shady very steep slopes) is possible in a few places. In isolated cases a small glide-snow avalanche is possible.

Snowpack Structure

The small amount of snow is quite compact and often capped by a hardened and icy crust atop of which a few cm of loose or wind-compacted snow lie deposited.

Weather Forecast

On Saturday, often limited visibility in the morning due to residual cloudss and fog remnants. Clouds will disperse over the course of the day, sun will make itself felt more and more. Winds in the Northern Alps will be light to moderate from the east, in the Tauern brisk (40 km/hr) from the south. At 2000m: between -5 and 0 degrees.

Tendency

Little change anticipated
