Avalanche Summary

Plan to start and end your day early before the snowpack becomes wet and unstable. You can trigger smaller point-release avalanches that can gouge to the ground in saturated, steep terrain, or potentially break out a larger wet slab at higher elevations. Steer clear of steeper sunny terrain, especially around exposed rocky features, by midday or earlier if the snow is unsupportable.

In addition, you might be able to trigger a dangerous slab avalanche on steep north-facing slopes at higher elevations where weak layers are still cold and preserved.
