Avalanche Summary

A small storm from Friday night through Saturday night dropped enough snow to raise the concern for triggering slab avalanches through the weekend. The most dangerous slopes are where you find more than about a foot of freshly drifted snow resting on a slick crust below. Southwesterly, then easterly, and later northerly winds during this storm mean you could find drifts on slopes facing a variety of directions.

Sunday will offer ample sun to cause previously dry snow to wet quickly. You can easily trigger small wet avalanches on many slopes, and these will be more dangerous at higher elevations where you find larger snow volumes.
