Points saillants
Six inches of new snow with westerly winds yesterday deposited new slabs to 18 inches in lee areas over drifted accumulations from several days of strong wind and snow. Slabs to two feet in depth could be triggered today by backcountry users in starting zones and cliff areas. Pockets of one foot slabs could be triggered at low elevations in steep starting zones. Due to safety concerns the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is closed to backcountry users.
