Points saillants

The general avalanche hazard is LOW today, however east winds have formed isolated pockets of new soft slabs up to one foot in depth on leeward aspects. These shallow slabs have likely formed beneath ridgelines and in the starting zones of very steep bowls and chutes. Humans who trigger these slabs could be carried down steep slopes, swept over cliffs or buried in terrain traps. Loose sluffs of new snow are likely on steep sunlit slopes as the day warms.
