Points saillants

Isolated pockets of soft slab to a foot in depth exist in steep wind loaded avalanche terrain at the upper elevations from small accumulations over the last several days. These shallow pockets and loose snow sluffs could be triggered today on steep slopes, particularly in steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. The hazard at mid and upper elevations will increase to Moderate this afternoon as temperatures rise and sunlight softens the snow pack making wet slab and wet loose avalalanche activity possible. At low elevations avalanches are unlikely today as slopes are mostly devoid of snow. The last avalanche advisory for the season will be posted tomarrow, Sunday April 20th.
