Snowfall is expected to continue overnight and into Thursday with eight to twelve inches of new snow by Thursday evening. Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the low 20s before rising to near 30 during the day. Westerly ridgetop winds should increase to 20 to 30 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW Thursday morning. With the exception of isolated pockets newly developed, shallow soft slabs and loose snow sluffs, the snowpack is mostly stable. The general avalanche hazard will increase during the day as these slides build in depth and extent.
