Points saillants
Recent snow to two feet in depth lies upon slippery crusts. Large sloughs are possible on steep slopes and below cliffs. These sloughs are dangerous in ravines and terrain traps. Below this new snow at mid and upper elevations, DANGEROUS dense slabs up to 5 feet in depth lie upon layers of low density snow and slick sliding surfaces. These slabs continue to be triggered by skiers especially in steep, wind loaded starting zones and cliffs areas.
