Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of snowfall above approximately 1700 m the northerly foehn wind, fresh snow drift accumulations formed during the last two days. The new snow and wind slabs of the weekend can be released easily, or, in isolated cases naturally on west to north to east facing aspects at high altitude. Moderate, level 2.

Snowpack Structure

As a consequence of new snow and wind the wind slabs have increased in size since Saturday. This applies in particular at elevated altitudes.
