Forecast Snow Stability: Localised areas of windslab will be present, mainly on steep and sheltered North, North-East and East aspects above 1100 metres. Elsewhere, snowpack stability will be generally good. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be generally dry with the freezing level around 800 metres. South-Westerly winds will gradually reduce during the period. Observed Weather Influences: Some light showers today with the freezing level gradually lowering from 1100 metres to around 850 metres. Moderate to strong South-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally well bonded in most places. Above 1100 metres some localised areas of fresh windslab are present mainly on sheltered North, North-East and East aspects. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
