Forecast Snow Stability: Shallow deposits of windslab will be present mainly on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. These will consolidate. The patchy old snowpack, greatest accumulations of which lie on North-East to South-East aspects above 800 metres, will generally be stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: It is expected to be a mainly dry period, with the freezing level above the summits. Winds will be strong South-South-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry day, with moderate increasing strong mainly South-South-Westerly winds. The freezing level rose to around 800 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Shallow deposits of windslab are present, mainly on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. The surface of the patchy old snowpack, greatest accumulations of which lie on North-East to South-East aspects above 800 metres, has refrozen in the colder conditions and is generally stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
