Problèmes avalancheux

  • Wind slab

    • Above 2,000 m

Avalanche Activity

Fresh wind slabs above approximately 2000 m. Individual dry slab avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small.

The fresh snow and local mostly small wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads, in all aspects above approximately 2000 m. Isolated mostly small dry and moist avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. This applies in particular on steep sunny slopes.

Snowpack Structure

In some places wind slabs are lying on a weakly bonded old snowpack. Individual weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack in particular on shady slopes.

Tendency

The weather conditions will give rise to gradual consolidation of the snowpack.
