Forecast Snow Stability: The moist snowpack will be generally stable and well bonded throughout. Greatest amounts of snow will remain on North through East to South-East aspects above 750 metres. Only isolated patches will exist below this height. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: The mild weather will continue with fresh South-Westerly winds. No precipitation is forecasted and the freezing level will remain well above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: A mild day with the cloud base around 600 metres. Dry in the morning with light rain from midday. Winds were fresh from the South-West with the freezing level well above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The moist snowpack continues to stabilise in the milder temperatures. Greatest amounts of snow can be found on North through East to South-East aspects above 750 metres where localised areas of instability persist. Below this height the snowpack is patchy and well bonded. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
