Points saillants

Some fresh snow and the wind slabs that are forming in particular adjacent to ridgelines must be evaluated with care and prudence in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2100 m. Weak layers in the old snowpack represent the main danger. Dry slab avalanches are still likely to occur.

Avalanche Activity

Some fresh snow and the wind slabs that are forming in particular adjacent to ridgelines must be evaluated with care and prudence in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2100 m. Weak layers in the old snowpack represent the main danger. Dry slab avalanches are still likely to occur.

On steep shady slopes and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain avalanches are possible, in particular medium-sized ones.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack remains unstable in particular on steep slopes. Shady slopes where weaknesses exist in the old snowpack are especially dangerous.
