  • Wind slab

    • Above 1,800 m
  • Wet snow

    • Above 1,800 m

Avalanche Activity

The mostly small wind slabs of last week must be evaluated with care and prudence.

The wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads,. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas. As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of natural moist avalanches being released will increase gradually in particular on steep sunny slopes.

Snowpack Structure

Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to moistening of the snowpack. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. Below approximately 1600 m only a little snow is lying.

Tendency

The weather will be sunny at times.
