Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are becoming generally safe, but use caution on wind-drifted terrain features above treeline where you may be able to trigger a small avalanche, and consider the consequences of even a small slide if you are venturing into more extreme terrain. Alpine slopes near ridgelines facing north though east through south are where you are more likely to find areas with deeper drifting where slides could be larger. As the day warms, use caution on sunny slopes at all elevations where loose wet slides may be able to knock you off your feet. Plan for an early start and finish, and exit slopes where you see pinwheels or wet, sloppy surface conditions.
