Points saillants
New snow and strong varying winds have deposited soft slabs to three feet in depth on steep leeward slopes at mid and upper elevations on a variety of aspects. These slabs lie on crusts and could be triggered today by backcountry users on steep slopes and near cliff areas. Yesterday a skier was caught by a such a slab in Twin Slides on Teton Pass. He was not burried or injured. At low elevations avalanches are unlikely today.
