Points saillants
Mostly stable snow exists at all elevations. Isolated pockets of new shallow soft slab exist above 8500 in avalanche terrain. At these upper elevaions small, isolated pockets of hard slab to two feet could be triggered, particularly by larger loads such as snow machines, on very steep rocky slopes and near cliff edges. Remember that low hazard does not mean that no hazard exists and the consequenses of these small pockets releasing should be considered. Avalanches below 8500' are unlikely today.
