Points saillants
At the mid and upper elevations two feet of snow with two inches of moisture have fallen since early Tuesday morning. Strong west winds have formed new dense slabs two to four feet in depth on leeward aspects. Rising temperatures have created unstable conditions. At the lower elevations isolated pockets of slab up to two feet in depth could be triggered in steep wind loaded gullies and starting zones. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY AT THE MID AND UPPER ELEVATIONS OR IN THE RUNOUT ZONES OF AVALANCHE PATHS THAT EXTEND INTO THE LOWER ELEVATIONS.
