Points saillants

At the mid and upper elevations DANGEROUS unstable conditions exist. Slabs one to eight feet in depth continue to be easily triggered by skiers on a variety of aspects. North through east aspects have been the most active with numerous releases on approach. Yesterday a four foot deep slab was skier triggered on a southern aspect near the Great White Hump. At the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort several 4 to 6 foot deep slabs were sympathetically triggered with explosives on the north ridge. A deep weak layer of faceted snow is causing this instability. At the lower elevations isolated pockets of slab could be triggered on steep wind loaded aspects.
