Avalanche Summary

The most dangerous areas are slopes that receive wind-drifted snow on Saturday. Winds are from the west, so potentially dangerous slabs will form on easterly slopes. If you trigger an avalanche in drifted snow, it will likely break on weaker layers of snow near the ground.

Steer clear of steep, wind-loaded slopes near ridgetop. Shooting cracks in the snow and a change from softer snow underfoot to much harder snow indicate you have found a wind-drifted slab.
