Avalanche Summary

You could trigger an avalanche in the recent storm snow. The more dangerous areas are where southwest wind drifts snow into a stiff slab on steep alpine slopes. Avoid steep slopes if you observe cracking in the snow surface or if the snow just feels stiff.

Where a slab has not formed, loose avalanches could sweep you off your feet and take you for a dangerous ride, in steep consequential terrain. As the sun pops, anticipate small natural loose activity on many slopes. Avoid slopes over 35 degrees that show signs of warming, such as rollerballs, point releases, or wet gloppy snow.
