Points saillants

At the high elevations, some potential remains to trigger wind slabs in very steep avalanche terrain. Avalanches are unlikely at the mid and low elevations. New snow that is expected to fall today will be accompanied by strong winds. If enough accumulation occurs, very shallow surface slabs could develop in areas where the snow surface is hard.

Hard slabs lie in the backcountry with depth of one to four feet. These slabs are most likely to be found on northwest to east terrrain and may require larger trigger such as multiple skiers or snow machines to initiate.
