Points saillants

Conditions are favorable concerning avalanche hazard.

Avalanche Activity

Conditions are favorable concerning avalanche hazard.

The more recent wind slabs are mostly small and can only be released in isolated cases, especially adjacent to ridgelines at elevated altitudes. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls. Only isolated gliding avalanches are possible. This applies in particular on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2600 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard crust.

Snowpack Structure

In some localities up to 10 cm of snow has fallen. Some snow will fall in the south. Over a wide area new snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. This applies on sunny slopes in all altitude zones, as well as on shady slopes below approximately 2600 m. In particular below the tree line only a little snow is now lying.

Tendency

In some regions up to 15 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall. Fresh wind slabs require caution.
