Points saillants

The new snow of recent weeks can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2800 m. The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to rapid softening of the snowpack over a wide area especially at intermediate altitudes.

Avalanche Activity

The new snow of recent weeks can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2800 m. The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to rapid softening of the snowpack over a wide area especially at intermediate altitudes.

The snowpack will be prone to triggering in particular on steep sunny slopes.

Snowpack Structure

The early morning will see sometimes favourable conditions generally, but the danger of wet and gliding avalanches will increase later.
