Central Cascades

We still don't have enough snow to create significant avalanches.  Stormy weather overnight and on Monday will bring 2-3 inches of snow to upper elevations (above 7,400 ft.)  Elevations below that will see snow turning to rain throughout the day.

As of Sunday night, there has been no change in the "snow pack"; namely there isn't much of one!  Some stormy weather over the next 24 hours will hopefully bring a few inches of fresh snow to the upper elevations, although trailheads are likely to get a healthy mix of rain and snow.  After a little high pressure on Tuesday the remainder of the week cools off dramatically, and with an active weather pattern in the forecast, I'm hopeful that by next weekend we can talk about snow that is on the ground...or under our skis?!! (dare I hope).
