Avalanche Summary

Recently wind-loaded slopes near ridgetop are the most dangerous. This is where thicker slabs rest on softer and weaker layers. Any avalanche you trigger can be wide and very hard to escape. You can find safer conditions on southerly-facing slopes and in wind-sheltered areas.

You'll have to monitor the surface snow on southerly slopes and make sure it doesn't get too wet. If you see rollerballs and snow shedding on crusts, it's time to move off of these warming slopes.
