Points saillants

At the mid & upper elevations soft slabs up to 2 feet in depth put in by northwest winds lie upon slick sliding surfaces. Isolated pockets of slab up to 1 foot in depth exist at the lower elevations. At all elevations these slabs could be human triggered on steep wind loaded aspects. Natural avalanches are possible at the upper elevations. Good terrain evaluation and route finding skills are essential for safe travel in avalanche prone terrain today.
