Points saillants
At the upper elevations pockets of soft surface slab up to three feet in depth lurk on some steep shaded aspects. If triggered these slabs could pull out deeper snow layers all the way to the ground. The hazard will increase as air temperatures rise, particularly at mid and low elevations as these areas did not see significant cooling overnight. Large dangerous wet slab and wet loose avalanches are possible at all elevations during the warmer portions of the day. These events have been observed to run on the ground surface.Travel in avalanche terrain that has not seen overnight freezing is not recommended today.
