Avalanche Discussion
A sub-tropical disturbance will bring overcast skies and a chance of flurries over the mountains Monday night into Tuesday. Mountain temperatures will rise to near freezing after overinght lows in the upper teens. Mountain top winds will be West to Southwesterly at 10 to 15 miles per hour.Tuesday, the General Avalanche Hazard for the Teton, Togwotee Pass/Continental Divide and Greys River/Southwest Trails areas is expected to be MODERATE. Surface slabs to two feet in depth could be triggered in steep northerly aspects that have seen little or no traffic. Deeper slides remain a concern in areas with shallow snowpacks.
