Points saillants

Recent snow and strong winds have formed soft slabs that lie upon lighter density snow and crusts. At the upper elevations these slabs have depths to three feet and could be easily triggered by backcountry users on steep wind loaded aspects and cliff areas. At the mid elevations pockets of slab to two feet in depth could be triggered also in steep wind loaded terrain and near cliff areas. At the low elevations avalanches are unlikely except in isolated pockets. If skies are clearer than expected and significant sunlight and warming occur the possibility of wet slide activity will exist at all elevations.
