Points saillants

The general avalanche hazard is HIGH. A foot of new snow overnight and over two feet in the past week combined with strong west to southwest winds through the period have created unstable conditions on a variety of aspects and slope angles. DANGEROUS slabs up to four feet deep or larger could release naturally or be triggered by snowmachines or skiers. These slabs could step down to deeper buried weak layers and run full path. Warm temperatures and/or rain at low elevations could initiate dangerous heavy, wet slides in steep areas like ravines and road cuts. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENED.
