There may be faceted crystals or surface hoar beneath wind-drifted snow. Even if you observe few signs of danger, remote triggering may still be possible in areas where the snowpack is thin or soft.
Snowfall combined with wind on Sunday may lead to the formation of unstable wind slabs in east-facing terrain.
