Daily avalanche bulletins will resume on Nov 1. Until then, note that winter has started and certain areas of Banff, Yoho and Kootenay have enough snow to avalanche, mostly at higher elevations.

    Up to 50cm of early season snow pack caused by recent storms. Suspected wind slabs in lee areas in the alpine. Ice climbers and off-season mountaineers should be aware of terrain traps and gulley features.
