Forecast Snow Stability: Very limited snowpack. Greatest accumulations lie in isolated patches on North through East to South-East aspects, these will re-freeze above 950 metres. Good general stability. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: Remaining mostly dry and mild overnight, before the freezing level lowers slightly to around summits. Moderate to strong South-West winds. Observed Weather Influences: Dry overnight, thereafter it has been a mild and overcast day; light drizzle affected the area for much of the time. The winds have been strong West-South-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability. The snowpack is now much depleted and although moist remains stable. Greatest accumulations lie in isolated patches on North through East to South-East aspects above 850 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
