    The buried suface hoar layer remains touchy in locations where it did not slide in last week's storm cycle. Cracking and whumphing are still occurring. Extra caution is needed for slopes that did not slide in the last storm.

    Steady moderate Southwest winds in the alpine continue to add slabs on Northeast aspects over the buried surface hoar layer. Even triggering a small storm slab has the potential to step down to the buried weak layer described below.
