Avalanche Activity

The danger of moist avalanches will increase during the day.

The danger of wet and gliding avalanches will increase during the day. Below approximately 2600 m small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible. The new snow of the weekend can be released naturally on very steep sunny slopes above the tree line. This snow can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads in all aspects above approximately 1800 m. The new snow of the last few days is very loosely bonded in particular on shady slopes above approximately 2000 m.

Snowpack Structure

The new snow of the last few days is very loosely bonded in particular on shady slopes above approximately 2100 m. The snowpack will become moist on sunny slopes. In addition wind slabs will form in the vicinity of peaks as the day progresses.
