Avalanche Activity

In some regions up to 10 cm of snow will fall above approximately 1500 m. The new snow is lying on top of a quite favourable old snowpack. At elevated altitudes the avalanche danger is low (level 1).

In particular in the northwest up to 10 cm of snow will fall above approximately 1500 m. The new snow and wind slabs are lying on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack on north to northeast to northwest facing aspects above approximately 1700 m. In all regions in all altitude zones only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. The snowpack will be well bonded over a wide area. Very isolated avalanche prone locations are to be found on shady slopes in high Alpine regions. At elevated altitudes the avalanche danger is low (level 1).
